— sauna healer training

Sauna healer training

is for those who want to experience the enriching and rejuvenating sauna heritage and understand these practices beyond the surface.

Training

The training consists of theoretical studies held at a log cabin located amidst the beauty of the Sipoo river valley nature, as well as practical training in sauna work at the traditional smoke sauna by the Sipoonjoki River and in the healing sauna Lovi.

The training includes supervised and guided customer treatment practice during the public sauna sessions.

The training follows the traditional way of learning, which is learning by experience and hands-on guidance. This training offers a rich blend of knowledge and practical experience, providing you with all the necessary tools to start your journey as a sauna healer.

Retreats

We want to offer you the opportunity to take a moment away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the ancient healing practices of sauna.

What do you need? Just arrive at the airport – we’ll take care of the rest. We arrange transportation, meals, and accommodation for you in cozy double rooms in the beautiful Joensuun tila manor nearby. You can forget all your worries and let us take care of you.

Our retreat program is designed to offer you a diverse experience that nourishes both your health and your eagerness to learn about the Finnish sauna tradition. In the peaceful atmosphere, with the constant guidance of the sauna healers and the support of the group, you are safe to explore the vast wisdom of the sauna heritage.

Our days are filled with theoretical training, providing you with new knowledge and insights. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the secrets of sauna rituals and mythology, traditional Finnish vihta treatments, herbal and natural remedies at the sauna, and enjoy the gentle steam of the smoke sauna. The relaxation is complemented by the opportunity to bathe in our hot tub in good company.

"Knowlege is just rumor until it lives in the muscle"
- Brenee Brown

We want you to go home with a deep-rooted experience backed up with theoretical understanding. The retreat is the beginning of your sauna heritage journey. We will be there to guide you, as the price includes six months of distance support. This means you can approach us with any questions that come up when you practice sauna healing at home and in everyday life.

Once a month, a private online Q&A with the Sipoonjoki Heritage Sauna healers will help you put into practice all you have learned at the retreat.
